Dance Competition Photo booth

We had a blast with the kids from Synergy Dance last week at their dance competition and seminar.
They loved cramming into the photo booth together! Like I always say, kids never have trouble coming up with a funny face :)

Whistler Ski and Snowboard Festival Photobooth

The Telus Ski and Snowboard Festival in Whistler is one of our favorite events of the year! We have some awesome corporate clients who keep asking us back to be part of their insane parties during the festival.
This year we were asked to be part of the West 49th / Quiksilver /DC Shoes party again, and it didn't disappoint. At the Roundhouse on top of Whistler Mountain, (yes the photo booth can ride gondolas) this party was awesome. They had a fully branded corporate photo booth with their own background.
Things got pretty fun in there!

It's always fun at the YMCA!

Have you seen the new Robert Lee YMCA on Burrard yet? It's AMAZING!
Check it out here, and go for a tour sometime. It has everything!
We love doing events with the YMCA because the vibe is great! Healthy, energetic, and positive people always make for awesome photobooth pictures.
Here are a few shots from their staff training day this week.

(note: unfortunately some of the pictures on our blog have been stolen and are showing up on other company's websites. Boo to them, we can't help it if our photobooths produce the best pictures. Now we have to put our logo on pictures displayed on our blog. Not very pretty. Don't worry, our logo will NEVER appear on your prints or any product you receive from us)

Sandy Pandher Special Events -Testimonial

We just received a very sweet testimonial from an amazing Vancouver events planner. We have had the opportunity to work with Sandy Pandher on several events and have found her to be so great to work with. We would absolutely recommend her to our friends and clients if they need some help with their big day!

Apparently she would recommend us to!

"Photobooth Vancouver, thank you for the amazing service you provide my clients. As an Event Planner I never have to worry about a thing when you attend the event. From having the perfect backdrop for the clients to adding personal touches to the photo’s, it is evident you take the clients interest to heart. Your service is about people, and you know how to make everyone smile.

There is a reason why Photobooth Vancouver is a “big hit” at events every time. As someone from the Events Industry, I highly recommend Photobooth Vancouver for your next event, especially if you are looking to add something to complete your event, or if you want to have a fabulous time and smile lots!

Angela and Domi thank you for being real and making my clients and their guests smile!

All the best, Sandy Pandher"

Mustaches make great photo booth props!

We LOVE it when props are incorporated into the photobooth experience. We always encourage our clients to get creative when picking out props for their guests.
Random costume supplies are always fun, but we especially love it when there is a theme to the props.
Some of our personal favorites have been mustaches. There are some local costume shops that you can buy one time use mustaches that stick on to your face. (see picture above, yep that's us on the right)

We have also found some awesome online sources where you can get some higher quality mustaches that can be used by guests throughout the night.

One source on Etsy is Whiskerworks. These are some of the highest quality mustaches-on-a-stick that I have seen. Made of hard plastic, I would recommend them for being able to last a night with your rowdy guests.

There are also very cute paper ones available through www.smittensticks.com

Or you can get creative and make your own, courtesy of this tutorial from The Wedding Chicks.
(no guarantee they will survive a night of guests goofing around). Hope this inspires you!

By far my favorite idea is from local artisan Sam Made, she can make chocolate mustaches on sticks! Send her an email through her blog for details.

Introducing the LITTLE BIRDS background!

It feels like spring today!
We are happy to launch our new Little Birds pattern background.
It is so cute!
We know it will perfectly suit some of the laid back outdoor weddings we will do this summer. Leaves, flowers, and birds in black, white and green. Just let us know if you would like to use the Little Birds background for your event!

Red Damask for a 18th birthday photo booth!

Emmalyn hosted a very Hollywood themed 18th birthday party, and (as usual) everyone had a blast in the photobooth. The red damask background was a perfect match for her luxe theme.

"I received the disk yesterday, thank you so much! The pictures look awesome, And a couple of my friends want to rent your photo booth for their special occasion! So you'll be hearing from them soon :)" -Emmalyn April 4 10

Kids are the best Photobooth posers!

We had a blast this weekend at the Tsawwassen First Nation Treaty Day. It always amazes us how kids have no trouble getting creative in the photobooth.
We often are asked by adults for suggestions on good photobooth poses. Kids are naturals.

Derek and Tara Jean's wedding photo booth

The magic of black and white once again.
I love these photobooth pictures! The bride and groom assembled a super fun crowd for their wedding at the Scottish Cultural Centre in Vancouver.

Thank you cards!

Woo hoo! We love getting "Thank You" cards from our clients! This week we received two very cute and creative cards! We thought we would share them, because we know you are always looking for wedding inspiration!

The first one is from Cristina and Jerrid, they used their photobooth picture as the front of the card and a picture taken by their photographer on the inside. So cute!

"To the whole Photobooth Vancouver crew, Thank you all so much for adding that special something to our big day! The photobooth was a huge hit and we loved our own photo so much that we made it the cover of our thank you cards! Thanks to everyone over there!"

The second card was from Eldon and Kim. They sent a very cute collage postcard.
There is the cutest picture of them on it holding up their photobooth picture!

"Thank you so much for all your work. Everybody loved the photobooth!"

When ever we get a "thank you" card, we just want to say "back at you!". Thank you so much to all our clients for trusting us with their big day and for making Photobooth Vancouver "The Hit of the Party". It is absolutely our pleasure to serve you!

Virgin Radio-Wedding Crashers!

At Photobooth Vancouver we have been to hundreds of unique and amazing weddings, but today's wedding may take the cake!
We will be at Melissa and Jeff's wedding hosted by Virgin Radio 95.3!
This brave couple has handed over all the details to the station and the listeners.
If you have been listening to the radio this month you have heard how outrageous this wedding is going to be!
This morning their ceremony was held in a bowling alley with the bride in a scuba suit, and the groom in a chicken suit.
Needless to say this party is going to be insane! It's not all bad though, they will have our photobooth at the reception and they will dance to a live performance by the Barenaked Ladies! Stay tuned to Virgin 95.3 to hear all the crazy details!

Lindsey and Cedric's wedding photobooth

Last night we were at Lindsey and Cedric's wedding at Westwood Plateau. It was so fun!
Their guests laughed so hard in the photobooth! They are the sweetest couple and I loved their grey and yellow colour scheme! Yellow Orchids, lace dress, it was gorgeous!
Their reception really incorporated traditional and modern elements, and their logo looked perfect with the damask background and grey bridesmaid dresses!
Congrats you two!

Some of our weddings are unforgettable!

Fareedah and Bobby were our clients last June. Every time I look at their pictures on their photographers Pelaez Photography's blog, I am blown away. It was such a beautiful day, and this couple was so great!
Their fun style was obvious all day with the help of Fairygodmother Weddings. Their wedding was even featured on Rock and Roll Bride, one of our favorite wedding blogs! It really is amazing how with the right vendors can make a day perfect! Check out the Pelaez blog for all of their vendor details!

More Olympic Photo Booth Fun!

Wasn't the Olympics the greatest? I'm going to drag out all our Olympic related posts so that we can remember how wonderful it was just a little longer!
Aritzia has been a great client of ours and we have done several events for them. I'm sure you noticed around the city that their Olympic line of hoodies and shirts rocked! One thing I'll never forget about having the Olympics here was how cool red plaid, and fur hats became! Obviously the folks at Aritzia were all over starting the fashion trends. These pictures make me remember everything that was good about the energy in Vancouver during those weeks!

Vintage photo booth! The magic of black and white!

We have had such a busy winter we haven't gotten a chance to blog everything!

I wanted to make sure these pictures had a chance in the spotlight though, as they are so adorable and really look vintage! Boston Pizza had an awesome 20's theme holiday party. The costumes in the photobooth really make the pictures feel so retro!

I love them!

A first birthday photobooth is the cutest!

Repeat clients are the most sincere form of flattery for us! We were thrilled when Vi and Solomon who hired for their wedding last summer asked us to be a part of their nephew's first birthday party! He is so cute!

Like seasoned photo booth veterans the photo booth pictures were very creative! We expect as much from our return clients :)

Vancouver Photographer love!

We are so lucky to get to work with amazing Vancouver wedding vendors! One of the photographers we have loved getting to know over the last couple of years is Tracey Heppner.
She has sent us over some great pictures she took at Indie I Do! The pictures feature our wedding photobooth!
Thanks Tracey! Go to her website for some eye candy and check her out if you are shopping for your wedding photographer!

Local Fundraisers- Vancouver Photobooth

This month we were happy to be involved in the Circus of the Night a benefit for Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver.
Their circus theme was perfect for the photo booth and everyone had a fantastic time getting creative with their poses! The Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver is an awesome local organization! Check out their website for ways you can get involved!
They used our striped red and white background which is also available for your rental.
